SPACES

I love looking into other peoples spaces.Thankfully I have a plethora of opportunities to do this (blogs, pinterest and instagram IOU)

It's Sunday morning for me, I'm still in my pj's and bundled in a scarf with Ray Charles blaring, looking at inspiring spaces and I have decided to share some little snippets of my own space.

My style is still evolving. I don't even really know what I like yet. It's kind of a mash of simple, minimalistic, quirky-ness.

Happy Sunday bebs

LITTLE THINGS

2014 is just zooming past. September is inching closer and it has been making me think about what a great year 2014 has already been for me and how thankful I am for all the people I have met and the opportunities that have come my way.

I really think it's important to not only feel thankful but to also express it, to physically appreciate it.

So that is what this post is for me! A big ball of love, appreciation and humility.

JEZ - You are my absolute rock. I am so proud of Past Present and everything that you have done with it. I love you til freakin' forever and then back again. I am excited for us!

LOLA - this little thing is just the definition of love, joy and devotion. Losing her this year (be it only for a couple of hours) has made realise what a big part of my heart she has stolen.

BLOSSOM & THORN - this project has become the dream that I am chasing. I want flowers to be my whole life. I love it. I am so thankful for the support I have gotten that has enabled me to start this and to continue it. It honestly means so much.

MY FAM - even though they are all the way over in Syders, they always have my back and always support my crazy ideas and random tangents.

THE BUTCHER BAKER - JESS BUTCHER I LOVE YOU! I literally do not know what I would be doing if I had not met you. Thank you so much for letting the little random email stalker letting you help out one day and then for keeping me and spoiling me and giving me the best opportunities and support EVER. Can't wait to take over the world with you :)

MATTHEW LANDERS - for teaching me all about the flower biz. For putting up with my sooking and about how bad I am. And just being pretty damn amazing!!

MY JOB - I get to work for literally one of the best companies ever. I am surrounded by the most amazing product all day and get to work with 2 of the most beautiful souls in the world.

MY HOUSE - I am extremely lucky to live where I do and for all the things that fill it!

MY GALS - you are sprinkled all over Australia but I have so many amazing ladies that I can rely on. This year has really seen me connect with some particular gems. So much love.

THE EARTH LAUGHS IN FLOWERS

HELLO MY LOVES!

I am finally settled into my new house, complete with a little flower studio out the back. Such a happy time for me and my little family.

Blossom & Thorn start our first set of deliveries on Monday! SO excited and just so thankful for all the love people have shared with me. I am a super blessed little lady.

If you are in Perth and wanting a special little bunch of blooms for yourself or a pal, email B&T at helloblossomandthorn@gmail.com

Each new follower, each purchase made brings me one step closer to taking this little dream of mine full time and you honestly don't know how much I appreciate it!

Have a fabulous weekend bebs, savour the last of that luscious, golden winter light.

WINTER WEEKEND MUSINGS

WE ARE IN JULY.
Just incase you haven't noticed! Where the heck did those 7 months disappear to!?

I got a bit reflective this afternoon while nursing a tea and blog scrolling.

I've been in Perth for nearly 2 YEARS! This blows my mind a little bit. (I am a Perth convert, I moved from Syders in October of 2012.)

Moving away from home, especially moving to the state on the other side of the country can be hard. I really didn't like it at first. Think I tossed around the hate word a few times. I missed everything familiar and those beautiful people that I left over there. I started packing my bags to go home more than once. I was a little bit miserable. I don't like being miserable so I started reading the Happiness Project. This book is brilliant. It helped me to realise that I was in charge of my own happiness, that I don't have to let circumstances/location/people dictate my mood or my life.

At the end of last year I really wanted to make 2014 a year that I got (sorry) shit done. And I have. I completed my floristry course, I started my work experience with the beautiful Butcher, Baker Stylist Jess, I got my job at Stylecraft, I started Blossom & Thorn and we are on the brink of getting the house that we have been chasing.

Sometimes I feel like I have bitten off more than I can chew but you kinda have to do that when you are getting started and working full time.

Sorry, this is less of a blogpost and more of a word vomit of nostalgia and musings.

Hope your weekend is a fab one lovers!

A TOUCH OF PINK

I've mentioned it before, I am not a colour girl - monotone all the way. Until I rediscovered how amazing pink is!

Today's weather matched that monotone description. It was wet and dreary and grey and I loved it.

Jeremy and I trumped through the puddles with coffee in hand to go and see a house that I will admit that I have already fallen in love with.

It's a character house in the suburb we want complete with the white picket fence.
But my favourite bit, it has a pastel pink kitchen.

I'm not really taking no as an answer on this one. I have mentally moved in already and now all I can see are shades of cotton candy bubble gum pink.

BLOSSOM & THORN

HELLO MY LOVES!

I have been so disgustingly MIA lately, horrible. I have news though!

2014 has been, for lack of a better descriptor, my YOLO year.
I made a promise to myself to do the things that I have been putting off, not making time for etc etc.

I am actually a really quiet, shy personality. Sometimes I actually wish blending into the pavement was an option so I have been making concerted efforts to do the opposite.

I started my floristry course, I started this little bitty blog here, started work experience with my beautiful Jess, I went for the job I didn't think I would get, I pushed my comfort zone even if I didn't really want to.

And now I have another one to add to my list! Blossom & Thorn is my newest little project. I am drawing to the close of my course and loving styling with Jess and so wanted to create my own outlet.

I will be specialising in wedding and events as well as providing the Perth metro area with affordable but beautifully sourced bouquets delivered to your door.

The delivery side is still all in the works and I have to figure out how to balance it all with full time work but I am super excited about this new addition to my life!

I honestly believe that fresh flowers make such a difference to people's mood, they bring so much life and give off such a positive vibe. And they are babes. Win win.

So between this and searching for a new house, that is where I have been hiding.

Should be back to post spamming in no time.

Big love
xx
